University of Latvia graduate (Year 2018.) Currently a Core Surgical Trainee in Republic of Ireland.  My passion towards surgery developed early. While being a medical student, I was a member, and subsequently the president, of my university’s Surgical Interest Group.

As a junior trainee I constantly seek for new challenges and experiences. By joining the ISRIC,  I saw a unique opportunity to gain more in-depth involvement in collaborative research, as well as to learn and obtain a mentorship from exceptional senior trainees.

While belonging to Core Surgical Trainee cohort, I aim to promote the projects of the ISRC among core surgical trainees and strengthen core surgical trainee engagement with the work of the collaborative.
