Conor Toale

Conor is a General Surgery Higher Specialist Trainee currently undertaking a full time doctoral degree in surgical education research through the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland’s Strategic Academic Recruitment (StAR MD) programme. His research interests include assessment of competence using simulation technology, trainee autonomy, and selection science.

Conor is also one of the current Irish representatives on the Association of Surgeons in Training of the UK and Ireland. He is looking forward to collaborating with like-minded trainees on the ISRC committee to increase access to research opportunities for surgical trainees across the island of Ireland.
