I am currently working as a General Surgery SpR.  I obtained a MCh in Surgery from UCC in 2019 and was awarded a scholarship to complete a MSc in Healthcare Leadership in 2022. I recently completed my MD research on breast cancer biomarkers and translational research from UCC. My previous publications are centred around surgical oncology, translational research, quality improvement and survivorship. I joined the ISRC to enhance collaboration and translational research amongst surgical trainees to improve patient outcomes and propel Irish research to the forefront of surgical academia. During my previous tenure as QI lead with the ISRC, I spearheaded a multi-pronged QI initiative to optimise peri-operative care of patients with obesity undergoing non-bariatric surgery. I look forward to a productive year ahead.
